How difficult would it be to mount a scope on it? Would you just drill and tap the reciever and mount a rail?

Not too difficult at all:

And folded, it is a great pack rifle

Since that pic it has a rail and a vertical pistol grip

I have one as well in 308. They are drilled and taped and I put a Leupold base on mine with a varixII 3X9 USA Magazines Inc makes steel 10 rnd mags for it I have two. I have ordered a Knoxx recoil reducing stock with cheek pcs. and pistol grip for it as well. the stocks butt has different settings like the M4's. The ad says 16 1/2" barrel it is actually 16 7/8ths from the reciever to the tip of the muzzel on mine. Not a semi it is a manually operated arm so 10rnds are kool. Waiting for the stock for my carbine and another for my short shotgun. Then will sell the M4 stock and adapter with the picitini rail thats on it now.
308 is much more practical for me as it is going into my back up kit when hunting.Won't need two 10 rnd mags for knocking down my game its just easier to pack a box of ammo like that, instead of having them in a flimsy cardboard box. Anyhow the 556 has its place but I'm glad they brought this little baby out in 308.

Powerwagon is right. Mine is a 7600P .308 cal. The stock adapter is a Mesa Tactical high tube for the Remi 870. Also has an ACE folding stock mechanism and skeleton stock. The scope is a Guide Gear 3x9x40 illuminated mil dot.

It's a great bush rifle for packing on my quad when hunting or self protection deep in the back country.

Accuracy is outstanding out to 100 yards even with the cheap scope. Probably around 1 1/2 MOA. I use 150 gr Hornady SSTs.

Jack is right. This little 308 rocks.
