I'd guesstimate later in 2006, and they have US MSRP, which is usually a bit more than what Russells or Wholesale sell rifles for in Canadian funds
 
I like these little rifles. Finally Remington gets with the program with a controled round feed varmit rifle. :cool: I mean are you going to face a charging goffer with a push feed? I don't think so. :D
 
Has anyone ever seen one of the Mini Mausers with a non-rotating long extractor and CRF? I haven't. Maybe Remington had them redesigned. In their page on the 798 they use the term "square bridge" and then go on to say that the rifle uses standard Mauser scope bases. Well, you can have a double square bridge Mauser, or you can have an action that accepts standard bases, but you can't have both at the same time.
