Hi everyone. I am calling out to any owners of the Remington Model 8, preferably but not limited to the 35 Remington round. I am interesting into aquiring one and want some feedback by the owners, good stuff bad stuff, it doesn't matter. I need to be informed and there is no better way than asking our members ! The old Remington Mod. 8 is a fine dependable rifle, I've owned a 35 for longer than I dare admit.
It is one of very few semi-auto hunting rifles that cycle and shoot my handloads without a hitch.
Ignored by me for a long time because of a magnum itch, I take it out once in a while and usually for at least one hunting trip in the Fall.
The 35 is an excellent round for timber hunting and the Mod. 8 if looked after will just run and run...
