I think you’re pretty close with that.
It was just a question about refinishing the metal parts and bluing and such. I have received a couple responses and I have proceeded with an effort to make the finish a little better. I thank you guys for the opinions and despite some of the unavoidable negativity as mentioned earlier, this website is still a great place and I am happy to be member here!

I guess it depends on what shape it was to start with. Generally I prefer to leave stuff alone but then again I also re-barreled a model 8 to 7.62x39.
