Remington Model14 1/2 in 44-40

I can't help you out here. Sorry. Not one of my vintage pics has a 14 1/2 carbine or rifle.:( I did look at a Dominion stamped 44 two winters ago but it was in rough shape.

How does yours shoot CCIC?

You need a couple 25's in that collection now.;)
It's for close range but they are very accurate,25's are a rare find but I'm lookin'

CCIC

Inside of 90yds I doubt I would hesitate to use it on deer. I doubt it is power that is in question but the snowball trajectory......

I've come across a few 25's. Few are clean ones. I'll let you know if I see one.
What are you loading in your 14.5?

I took a doe with the 44-40 a few years back. I was using an anemic handload, must be close to factory, it was 950fps. The shot was only 50 feet or so, but it did go clean through.
I knew I could at close encounters I also am a slowwalker,I just love beeing in the woods.
Thanks CCIC
