Anyone know what kind of wood they're putting on these? Im guessing itd be the express stock but the forend is of the cob "tactical style"

Where are you finding a real 870 Police for $650? Are you sure it's a P and not an Express Tactical?

Bone stock 870Ps have been around $650-$700 for a long, long time. Obviously the 870P Max and MCS models sell for substantially more.

Express Tacticals are overpriced with ### looking, useless accessories. You pay extra for the ### factor.

If you want a cheap express get an 25077. Comes with +2 mag extension and normally sells around $350-$400. Sometimes referred to as the HD model, also available in 20ga.

when it says with wood stocks, its not us made black walnut, its some other kind of "wood"
The factory replacement wood is stupid $$$ but its true us made blak walnut stock, with up graded R3 recoil pad, finish but un oiled.
for a combat / riot shotgun collector its a must have, buit very hard to get i have 10 sets on order and still waiting 6 months now.

Anyone know where an 870P can be found??
G@gn0n Sports in Oshawa wanted $840+tax for what he repeatedly confirmed would be a 14" model (Can those still be imported for civilians?) but would have the polymer options. No Knoxx, no Surefire. Seems a bit steep?

I plan on mounting the gun in a high-mount style railed chassis, so the lowest-end variant would be best. I dont need sights, or even furniture really. As long as it's parkerized.

I thought these were a no-go for import?? a new 14" rem bbl alone would go for like half that, pretty rare these days.

This was right around the $1000 mark with factory rem 14" barrel and it was bought in 99 or 2000, can't remember for sure.
I added a +1 ext and vcas sling with S&J hardware sling plate. That's it build complete, no goofy s**t.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!! Neat, clean and simple - everything you need and nothing you don't, that's my idea of classic fighting shotgun perfection...

That doesn't sound steep for a 14" model, unless things have drastically changed.
