I know... I looked before asking but could'nt find the answer...

Is the r-15 fully compatible with existing AR-15 ? Just ordered one and it's my first one and thought it would be a good place to start since it's not really expensive... but since I'm a 1911 lover, I like to switch parts with others from other companies. Will I be able to? I know it's from Bushmaster BUT is it a Bushmaster ?

Would have liked ultimately to change the trigger, stock and forearm (mental note... should have gone with the Stag:rolleyes:)

Has someone handled that puppy ?

I paid 973$ for the 22 inch with fixed stock. Shipped to my door. (Plus taxes)

All I do is shot to 100 yards. It will be my first ar-15 so, we'll see...

Yeah,

I read in the lastest shooting times (i think) it is supposed to shoot MOA or better. I'll tell ya when I'll receive it.

We have what we believe to be one of the first R-15's in Canada. We already have a list of customers backordered at $1075. If anyone wants to see it come to our shop as we will not sell it until after the Calgary Gun Show (Easter weekend) where we will also display it. Phil.

Is the camo some duracoat/armacoat sorta paint? the price is really good... but I'm not sure about the color.

Why don't you share care-bear?

Oops...maybe dyslexia

Care to share.......where it was ordered from?

Don't know if I should... they're not contributors... but they're located in RImouski (Qc).

That should narrow it down a little... but I called and they said that pre booking special ended last Thursday. Don't know the regular asking price. I'm pretty sure it'll be higher that P & D though.

The fact that this rifle currently only comes in the camo finish (applied like any other film type covering that is on most camo stocks) is probably not going to be a positive thing for the Canadian market. Since we can't take this rifle out into the bush I think most Canadians would rather have a solid matte black or green finish. I don't see Remington bringing it out in black as they are trying to portray this guns gun for sportsman as opposed to the military/LE style that most people are used to. Also since this is a re-badged Bushmaster this rifle is already available in the black finish. Remington and Bushmaster are linked companies(obviously because they are owned by Ceberus). We have been advised that DPMS (also now owned by Ceberus) will be operated for now as a stand alone company. Phil.

The rifle appears to be a Bushmaster Varminter with an aluminum free floated handguard. I see no reason to think that stand AR 15 parts would not fit. Phil.
