Remington R-15, R-25; who owns one?

I've taken a fancy to the R15 and 25 after doing some reading about them. IMO I'd say either of these would be a respectable compromise to an SR25, with more calibre options.

I'd like to hear from someone who has one.

An AR is an AR is an AR at the end of the day. My friend has an R15, but it's been painted black and used for service rifle competition. He hasn't had any issues with it, that I know of.

I have an R25 and the thing has amazing accuracy for a semi. I was surprised at how low the cost was (I paid $1300 for mine). I hear the R25 is based off the DPMS type 308 AR, so it's quite nice. However the R15 is based off a bushy I think, and has had some issues. But yeah the R25 is nice. The fact it takes PMAG 762 is sweet.

I have one for sale if you wan it....

For what its worth, I think the R-25 is a great platform, and make a really great basis for builds.

Here is a Precision build I did with a Bull'ish profiled Krieger barrel on, you guessed it, a re-pigmented R-25 upper and lower receiver.

I built this, then let someone talk me out of it. Ah well that's how it goes.

Pic's to follow, would love to hear your thoughts.

regards

AbH

The R-25 is a really versatile platform, and they come with very good barrels.

For those who like things a little more basic, this is a 308 service rifle a good friend asked me to build for him
