Remington bought Para Ordanance several years ago.
Phased them out and now we have Remington double stacks.

So they're basically Paras? I'll have to do some research on these. The 40SW Tomaise looks nice but the price it up there with a nice Tanfoglio too.

From my personal experience the QC on the existing Remington 1911s, referencing specifically the R1e and R1 carry, is excellent.

I have both and they are excellent pistols, so I'm hoping these double stacks are of the same quality.

Same. I bought a R1 Commander and got more than I expected at the price point. Great Sights too!

Unfortunately most people don't reload so they never actually experience true 10mm. I have a Glock 20 10mm that is loaded to true 10mm levels.
