I searched for the old thread but I can't find it. Some wanted an update when and if I got my 40.00 Remington rebate for my Rem 700 SPS. I did in deed get it even though the card said American residence only.

Thanks Remington.

Send you're cards in guys

Was this about a year ago? My co-worker has never received his rebate. He has even called, several times, and they said they would look into it.

He has vowed never to buy another Remington. He was actually looking at a different rifle, but with the "$40.00" off, the deal was too good to pass up.

He has accepted the gun for what it is and it has proven to be a good if not a great shooter.(once he changed the stock)

where did you get these rebates? I bought a Rem this year and last year never saw a rebate or was it only certain models

You had to send in a card, depending on the outfit you bought your rifle from they did or did not include the card. I bought my SPS from wholesale...no card included. I had to go to http://www.remington.com/library/promotions/2009_fall_rebate.asp and print one off. When I asked wholesale about the rebate they said they didn't know anything about it. (Yeah right). If I remember right it was on some ammunition, the 870's and the 700 SPSs'.

Mine took about 2 months as well to come from the outfit in Quebec

Not that this is happening at WSS, as I don't know for sure, BUT. There was a car dealership that was not passing on the rebates to the customers, nor telling them about the rebates and were claiming the rebates as if they were the end user. The dealership employees would use their names and addresses to get the money. Funnelled right back to the dealer's pockets.
There is always someone who is trying to rip someone else off.
