Remington Restructuring Announcement

Now that the greedy pricks from Cerebrus are out of the picture perhaps Remington can recover.

I wish them all the best, it's a sad thing to see this great old firm go under.

+1

I hope Remington can come out on top of this. I have a few Rem/Bush products and love them all.

Well they had a few Rem-lin problems when they bought Marlin. But crappy products ? That's a bit much. They just don't pump out plastic guns or tactical ninja stuff

When they bought Marlin they got the XS7/XL7. The 710 and 770 were Remington's own inventions.

Are they still changing out triggers in 700’s?
I put off sending mine in, and I definitely don’t want Remington to take possession of it during this uncertain time.

That's a very good question stripclip. I wonder if we will get an answer? I just sent in two Rem 700 LVSF stocks for warranty, ( sticky but pads and air bubbles in stocks ), I hope I didn't just donate my stocks to the cause!....:(

I believe those factory 700 LVSF stocks were made by Bell & Carlson, not sure though. Hope they do not disappear! Impossible to replace, I'm sure.

I know this is nealry a two month old post, but doesnt send the gun to the USA for warranty work.
It could be sent to Gravel or even Reliable Gun in Vancouver for warranty work , just sayin.

Yes anything Cerebrus owns ends up in a very sorry state, same happened when they owned Chrysler!

Gravel Agency came through for me, I received my two Remington 700 LVSF stocks back from them last week. They were both fixed real nice, under warranty, no charge. I like my Remington rifles, they are great shooters.

I hope this all gets resolved, if they go under, all the current good Remington rifles in Canada will go up in value.

Only my opinion!....:)

Remington has had their problems here and there but I always liked them, I even consider the 5r better than the tikka.
I'm just frankly confused why they decided to keep pumping out mediocre 700s for $600-700 when they could have focused on the 5R class which was competitive with the T3 at $1k-1.2k

I like my Remingtons.

A large part of the market in the US are guns flowing through large stores like Walmart. Price point is a big thing when you are dealing with average hunters who use the rifle a few times a year.

Hi,
So what is happening with Big Green?
Just saw the announcement on the news.
How is it going to affect the Canadian market?
And Gravel as a distributor and factory warranty service?
Please tell us what you know/we need to know!

Business as usual.

This is just the finalization of the process that began over a month ago.
