Is it reloadable?

is brasas available....etc etc etc....

this is centre fire....not the almost identical rimfire round

I need answers quick before the gun sells!!!!

50-70 wouldn't work in mine without some modification. Turn the rim down & shorten them up a bit. Bore size will vary as well between different guns. I've measured them from .509 up to .515.

I have seen 12.17x44R brass turned from solid rod at the Cal gun show..very thick walled compared to extruded brass, would probably work tho with a shouldered bullet similar in design to what a .41 LC uses.

Modify 50-70 brass and use 50/70 dies. Load it up with 450 gr cast 0.515" bullets - Lee makes a mold.

Use 50-70 starting loads.

Done.

My Swedish RB's in both 12.17X44R and 8X58RD are among my most enjoyed shooters.

Starline makes nice 50-70 brass. AA5744 and SR4759 to the tune of 28.0 grs with the 450 gr Lee bullet are nice mild, accurate loads. I finally settled on a full case of pulled 8X63 Swedish powder - just seemed like the right thing to do ;)
