I bought one from the CSC. Took it out to the range last Saturday and Sunday. Sunday I brought 4 brands of ammo with me. and my Glock, just to rule out any ammo issues.
I knew that the early copies of the RP9 had issues, but the later ones seemed to be ok. So I took a chance. Right from the get go, failure to feed, failure to eject, problem on the feed ramp, slide out of battery. Happened with all 4 brands of factory ammo. Used the glock, no issues at all.
So this gun needs work, or needs to be replaced.
Contacted the CSC, they were very supportive, and were willing to help. The repair center is Gravel Agencies, here in Quebec, so I sent in a claim form and other required info, spoke to someone there, also very accommodating, said they will either fix my gun, replace it, or arrange a refund. CSC offered me a store credit which I will accept as well. So I ask the lady at Gravel, what happens if the replacement is just as bad as my first copy? She starts to laugh a bit, says they have a shooting range there, and will test out all their inventory if necessary to find me a good copy. So, lets hope. I did manage to shoot a mag of 6 rounds thru it, and as a shooter its not bad. Its getting bashed on youtube, but I like it. If only it worked properly. Could be I got a lemon.....
