Does anyone know anythig about this rifle. I know it was mfg between 84 and 87 and that it is chambered for 30 06. I have the opportunity to purchase one in mint condition. Were they a worthwhile firearm? The fact that they were made for only 4 years makes me wonder. Anyone know of any problems with them? Any info would be greatly appreciated

It's a no frills varient of the 7400 Rem. Plain Jane harwood stock, rough finished metal, but all in all they are about as good as a glossy glitzy 7400.

A friend of mine used to hunt with one in Kenora about 20 years back. He had no malfunctions and said the gun was accurate.
