Hey Guys;
I use two types of ammo for duck & goose hunting.
Remington Sportsman Hi-Speed Steel, 3.5 inch loaded with 1 & 3/8oz of #2 going 1550 fps.
And...
Winchester Xpert High Velocity Steel Shot, 3.5 inch loaded with 1 & 3/8oz of #2 going 1550 fps.
Never had a problem with either of these rounds & used them interchangeably depending on which one was available...
Today, I experienced something that has never happened before. I shot one of the Remington shells & it 'sounded wrong', it also had about 1/3 the recoil it 'should have'... I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED. I cleared the gun & looked down the barrel to see LOTS of unburnt powder...
I thought maybe it was just that shell... So I loaded up again... And, you guessed it, same result... Repeat, repeat... FULL STOP!!!
Anyhow, I'll be contacting Remington with the lot number, which is H03NA528.
Cheers
Jay
