A friend has a unfired remington spr100 12 ga. Single shot he wants to sell. It is a very nice hammerles shotgun with ventrib and 3 chokes ,3" chamber and exceptional wood.
Are these a good gun? What would be a fair price to offer him?
I think I'd like to buy it but he doesn't know what to ask and I don't know what it's worth.
Any advice is appreciated. ..

Built by Baikal in Russia. Very well made and a solid design. Probably the best built single shot available to shooters next to high end trap guns. With a vent rib and three chokes the gun you describe was the "loaded" option in the series. In fairness it is worth 250.00 all day and closer to 300.00 if like new. Love to see some pictures of it if you buy it. There will be some that think because it is a single shot it is a 100.00 gun but this one is beyond that rating by far.
