I had the .22/.410 that I sold as it wasn't being used. Now planning to buy one again

.22/.410 is the one in the baikal site with the rifle bbl on top....Epps in Ontraio has quite a few in stock form what I can see.

One and the same....Remingtion markets that as Spartan brand Stateside. Nice firearm for the money.....the .22 is very accurate, each and every shotgun bbl may not shoot to poi. It's compact, "sort of" double action i.e. once fired, the lever depressed again once serves to #### it for the second shot, tang bbl selector.....all in all I liked it just never had an opportunity to take that out for hunting last season.
The 12ga/CF is nice too.....if someone is looking for a combo deer gun.

I have a Stevens 410/22, Nicest little pot gun I've ever owned. I too, have shot lots of grouse with that. Great little gun for young folk and I've yet to see pellets bounce off anything
I have the SPR-94 in the 12/223 and the rimfire version 22mag/.410. I bought the rimfire first and shot a few small game animals with it and I was so impressed that I bought the big brother as well. I haven't fired the 12/223 yet but it seems to be a very nice rifle. I bought a set of mounts for each gun from P&D. B-Square 17130 is the model #. Very solid and gives you the eye relief you need for such a short 11mm grove on top of the gun. The mount itself has built in rings and is a 1 piece design. It also allows the rings to cant and pivot before tightening so you don't put any stress on your scope because of alignment problems.
I can compare the savage 24F and the SPR94 because I previously owned the Savage 223/12. I liked the savage and it was accurate but I must admit for the dollar the SPR94 gives you better features and potentially more accuracy. Example: Both barrels can be adjusted to align the point of impact on the SPR94 centerfire/shotgun where as the Savage you cannot and also the dual triggers is a nice touch.

I bought a Savage 22lr/20ga, late last season, and am planning on using it for small game this fall. One of my hunting partners has been using a combo gun for years, and has great success. His is 22mag/410, and he has stated, more than once, that it is his favorite small game gun. I've seen it in action, and went out and bought one myself. He has had lots of luck with his...now it's my turn.
I love .410 and prefer it to all small game with respect to 28/20/16/12/10. Not sure how far you tried to make your shot with, but I've have nothing but praise for it vs grouse/rabbits. .22mag is nice all around but still, can't knock .410.
While I normally take the 20g walking for upland birds, I often have the .410 in the truck if out for firewood. I wouldn't mind taking a closer look at those SPR94's. Seems like a very sensible combination.
