Remington SPS V Build

Brenden, I shoot some accuracy shoots and I would not even consider trying it with a factory barreled action.

Depends what kind of games you want to play... Yes, in benchrest you pretty much need to have a fancy (read expensive) rig to be competitive...

But you are shooting from various positions (as in, not off a sand bag nor a big rest), the shooter makes a much bigger difference.

Barrels (just like ammunition) are consumables... they'll need to get replaced eventualy. In the mean time, Merlin's got a pretty nice setup to play with :D

Got a very similar set up.

rem700 SPS-V (.243)
B&C stock
mag xtender
badger bolt knob
harris Bipod
and I have a Falcon menace 5.5-25x56mm pre-ordered thats gonna sit on top.

Gonna get a barrel and action worked on once the accuracy of the factory barrel starts going south... or when I get bored with the .243, what ever comes first. I was also thinking of buying an aftermarket trigger unit, hoping to get crisp trigger pull under 1#. Anyhow, shoots great and I really feel like I got a lot for my money.
