I have an 1187 20 gauge with a synthetic stock that I want to increase the length of pull. I have a spacer to do that but I need longer screws to secure it to the synthetic stock and also fit the original holes. The ones that came with the gun are not long enough. Does anyone know the specific measurements of these screws or where I can find longer ones. I know that screws come with a specific size and pitch of thread. All ideas are appreciated. Thanks
PS if this should go in the gunsmithing forum please advise.

if you want you could go to canadian tire and buy a little set of keys that measure the threads on the screws you already have and just buy new ones at a longer length, and if too long grind them down, but careful to file down the messed up threads.

Go to a machine and tool supply house and get the screw/threads measured, then buy stainless screws that are longer by the length of the spacer.
