ok. since my question didn't get answered in the ammo forum, ill ask here as i should have in the first place. has anybody used the remington 180grain swift A-frames, for deer or moose or anyother critter but prefferably deer. your stories please and thank you.

I used to use them, but lack of availability (in BC anyways) made me switch to Barnes as I can actually get them whenever I want, from a variety of dealers. In my opinion they (the A Frames) are likely the premiere hunting bullet out there the equal of Barnes imho. I could tell you lots of stories but basically they are outstanding bullets, fantastically constructed, rather accurate, and devastating on game...if you can get them, and your gun likes them, use them, you will be happy.

I load 200gr Swift A-Frames in my Rem 700 LSS 300 Rem Ultra Mag @ 3250fps my son shot an 8' grizzly @ 200 yards with this load the bullet hit the right rear hip traveled thru the pounch, lungs, ribs, off side front shoulder and exited...

Due to this performance and others that I didn't mention I now load Swift A-Frames for my 375RUM and 45-70 as well... :)

I highly recommend Swift A-Frames...
