I experienced more misfires in colder weather, but even slightly above 0C and they functioned just fine. I using a Savage Mk II TR and being dirty isn't a real issue; I take my boresnake with me to the range but I can't say I really needed it. This stuff will surprise in group size too for cheap ammo.
