Apparently true for the .45-70, but they made lots in .30-06. I had one. Well worth the money if you want to play around with a SxS double rifle for cheap.

I thought they were Russian made myself.

Good thing I bought my H&R Buffalo rifle last year and ordered a 917V this month, just in case.
