Just window shopping here and there and wanted to get some feedback on the Remington V3. Contemplating a new goose gun, but not really sure on what my plan is yet. Not sold on the 3.5”, I am happy with my current 3” gun, but just shopping. Also don’t really have a backup gun right now (other than a single shot 10 gauge) so want to see what options I have.

Might also just look at a decent pump for this use... tossing around all sorts of thoughts as we never know what regulations are going to change next, so trying to keep that in mind also.

I have a V3, it’s a decent gun. Mine is a early production gun (2016 I think) and I had issues with gas blow back in my face. Sent it back to Gravel Agencies and they replaced the barrel with the newer version which solved the issue. The service from Gravel was top notch but it still bugs me that I had to deal with warranty on a new gun. The gun came with a lifetime warranty - not sure how that works now that Remington is no more. Definitely look into that before you buy one.

I have about 2,000 rounds through mine in total. It is very light recoiling and will cycle even the lightest target shells with 100% reliability. It defiantly needs more cleaning than Remington advertises - I usually have to clean it every 500 rounds or so, similar to my other gas shotguns.

I know a guy who has one. He says it has never had any trouble with it at all. The action is very similar to the Versa Max. if you are going to buy one make sure it fits you well as the gun does not have stock shims to adjust stock height and angle. I have shot the gun its very soft on the shoulder.

Lot’s of shotgun options out there from companies that still exist and have at least some kind of warranty. If I was really sold on a V3 I would buy two.

Now that there is no more production on these would you still buy a V3 or Versa max?

I have heard lots of good about they will cycle anything interchangeably.

Thanks.
