Can anyone who actually owns the Remington Versa Max Tactical tell me how many 2.75" rounds it holds IN THE TUBE (not including ghost load +1, chamber +1, etc)?

I know it's chambered for 3" shells, but I'm specifically wanting to know for 2.75".

I've seen conflicting reports on mag capacity for Canada. Some have said it can only fit four shells (of what length?) in the tube without modification. Others have said the Canadian version will actually fit six 2.75" shells in the tube straight out of the box.

Any knowledge you can offer is appreciated.

Yup, me too, crimped mag tube extension and it holds 5 of the 2.75" shells in the mag tube. I tried to fit 5 3" shells as it was set up when it came out of the box, but it didn't fit. What I ended doing was backing out the mag tube extension a bit and then it it was able to take 5 of the 3" shells. It's sketchy as phuk though, because the mag tube wobbles a bit without the mag tube clamp. Yeah, with the mag tube clamp on there, there are no issues, but I'm guessing that it should be on there nice and tight without the mag tube clamp and I shouldn't have to rely on that to keep all the parts locked down?

Most seem to hold 4 in the tube just like all the other remington shotguns
We have aftermarket mag tubes and we can get 7 in in the tube.
Remeber it depends on if you and a 3 inch or 3.5 inch as to what the max capasity is

I really would advise against that
If that camp slips you could have an out of battrey firing
Try cuting the spring, of useing one of our type 3 no jam followers.
What brand of tube and made of spring are you useing
If its a remington spring. Change it asap

The VMT comes with a Nordic Components mag tube extension and teflon coated no-jam follower. The spring is likely Nordic Components as well since they provide it as a complete kit, but I can't confirm that. Kinda crappy that the mag tube extension is crimped...both sides.

Yes. The fatcton versamax tactical is what you have.
The mag tubes we made for/at the request of remington. I guess for the canadian market.
Maybe you should switch it out for another aftermarket one that let you have full capasity

I forgot to thank you for the earlier advice by the way, but thanks. As soon as I get home, I'm going to tighen down the mag tube. I only backed it out a few threads and zero threads were exposed, but I still don't feel good about it, even with the mag tube clamp on there locking it down. I've looked into Nordic Components mag tubes without the crimps, at $100 for the ability to fit 5 of the 3" shells instead of 4, haha, I dunno. Plus they only sell complete kits when I just need a replacement tube with no crimps, *&%&$#@!, lol! Of course, if I did buy a new kit, I'd have to mod the tube to ensure it holds no more than 5 of the 3" shells.

Well, it's not like I compete or anything, so I suppose it's not a huge deal, but it would be nice if my VM was able to hold the maximum legal 5 of the 3" shells as the stampings on the barrel say chambered for 2.75-3" (no stampings on the receiver). I haven't looked into your products yet, maybe I'll check it out.
