Ok lads, here's the dilemma:

I've had a Win 1200 Ranger(30" full choke) for 25 years and just aquired a Rem 870 Express Magnum w/Mod Remchoke(not sure of vintage).

I do a bit of skeet shooting, with the possiblity of the odd duck/goose outting... so in other words, I don't use a 12ga very often.

I seem to justify having multiple rifles but when it comes to scatter-guns, I only need one.

I know they're low-end guns, but which would you keep... and why?

Thanks!

I have also owned both and sold my Winchester long ago. It does not field-strip for cleaning as easily as the Remington and always felt 'tinny' to me (perhaps due to the aluminum receiver). If you are going to shoot skeet, you will need a skeet choke tube; another plus for a shotgun threaded for tubes. Spare barrels and repair parts are much easier to find for the 870.
