Remington X Mark trigger

Have any of you gunsmiths out there played with this trigger?

Can I have them safely smithed to 2lbs?

I've gotten them down to about 2.5lbs nice and crisp and safe. I found any lighter than that and it doesn't function properly.

My rifle is away getting a trigger job right now, and when I was talking to the gunsmith he also told me that after you take them down below two pounds they loose saftey and proper function. We are shooting to have mine just under the three pound mark.
