Remingtons door breacher choke. What is it?

Regular cylinder I believe.

i payed 20 or 30 shipped for one BNIB from a CGNer... i havent shot with it, but it scares my neibours when i walk my gun to the truck.... lol.

I've seen them listed on other forums anywhere between $35 and $55.

My 887 came with one...I believe Remington claims this thing reduces recoil/muzzle flip as well, but aside from being a weight, I'm not sure how that's supposed to work. I have to admit I kinda like it, it sorta completes the look on this particular gun. I wish I could get one in Improved. With a normal remchoke, the magazine tube extends beyond the muzzle slightly.

Either way, next time I lose my house keys while I'm out shooting... :p

I dont think it reduces recoil, or maybe just a little bit but its insignificant.

I think it's a bit louder when you shoot, it makes more a ''cracking'' sound than a ''poof''

it protects the threads of your bbl and scares your neibour, when you're loading the truck. aside from that it's useless.... then again i DO enjoy scaring my neibour.....

Useless?

How many times have I returned from the range, only to realize I only had my car keys, but not my house keys. Gotta get in somehow.

Yep....and I routinely demonstrate on the skeet field how the breacher and bayonet improve the swing of my 870 and overall "panache" of my game!! lol
Course' the best part is the freaked out stares that always come from the range snobs.!!!

I do confess to scabbarding the bayo on the bunny stage during sporting clays though.....the lil' buggers freeze up and won't launch! lol
