Remlin no more

Brands. That is all the industry comes down to is labels. The idea that a company existed, exists and will persist, is false. Sadly, there is little in the news post to make me feel good. Although, I hope Sierra is smart enough to leave Barnes well enough alone. Two distinct reputations and histories.

Also...great news!!! Ruger is awesome and will hopefully restore Marlin to where it should be!!!

Remlins sucked hardds the first few years but they did improve.

:agree: It would be nice though, to see the Marlin line get right up to snuff and to see if the H&R rifles (Acquired by another group.) make a return.

Be interesting to see what Vista does with the ammunition business.Would like to see some 28 gauge blue Remington/Peters shells in production again.:)

I just recently picked up a Marlin lever, will be interesting to see where things go with Ruger at the helm. I expect it can only be for the better in the long run.

Ruger has managed to consistently stay modern and profitable while also producing rifles and pistols in classic styles and old school chamberings. Basically they are a company that can make a profit building to a price point but still give a $&@t about style and traditions. I think Marlin could be a legitimately good fit for them.

Also Sierra buying Barnes, I think we can be confident that top notch quality will remain.

And someone buying the H&R rights hopefully will bring back a classic.

I dunno... have u ever heard of any of these buy outs being good for the product ??
Seems to me .. they always suck hard afterwards

Now marlins with cast receivers .. ugh
