Remlin no more

Honestly, there are a lot worse places Marlin could have wound up. While Ruger does make some cheap junk they are equally capable of delivering good quality at reasonable prices. If they put even 50% the effort into Marlin that they do into the No1 it will easily surpass the Remington era. Interested to see if the 39A makes a return to reasonable pricing.

Idle speculation at this point -
A Real Estate holding company bought the Remington designs and production facility - not a good sign for employees, though there is room for many twists and turns.
The employees most likely to come out OK are those in the Lonoke Ammunition plant, a thriving profitable business, which is being bought by a very large ammo producer.
Ruger has its own highly skilled employees - you can bet only a few key Marlin staff will join Ruger. Ruger is buying a few successful designs and a market niche.

So,do that mean my 783 just tripled in value?? And is now worth $3300

Not everything discontinued turns to rare and valuable right away, especially not at 3x the MSRB $$$ LOLLL!!!

And that model is both new and "cheap"...never was gonna be a gun thats value increases over time, sorry!!!
