Remmi Bite? Fact or Fiction

Actually Mossbergs shell lifter is in the up position when the slide is in battery/forward position so there is ZERO chance of it biting you on a mossberg.

But for the record, I keep hearing about this lifter bit, but I can't make it happen. I suspect that this lifter bite is a rumour made by Mossberg fanboys to spread a little BS into the marktetplace. Now it may be possible, but I don't know how to do it.

Had it happen with a couple of newbie buddies that I brought out to shoot some clays (what part of push the shell in until the click did they not understand, I don't know ). If you push a shell in the magazine, and it doesn't click into place, it will back up, and provide what at first looks like a jammed gun. I have since found though that if you give the gun a pump, it'll clear itself, although with a little more resistance on the pump than usual (from what I can remember). It's if you go digging around in their with your fingers that things aren't all that pleasant.

Also, for the record, I have had several of my friends shoot this gun as newbies, and times after that. I have shot this gun several times, as has my brother. Not ONCE has anyone EVER had any trouble with getting pinched by the foreend. That one really puzzles me. I have the regular 26" express synthetic model.
