Remmington 222

My triple deuce has knocked off a fair number of wiley's tribe, with never a hitch. I use either the 50 Ballistic Tip, The 50 V-max or the old big open point Speer 52 grain hollow point Flat base. Great stuff to snuff a sneaky dog. Regards, Eagleye.

used 222 lots huntin yotes in s. ontario - not quite as long legged but quieter than a 22/250 around farms, cows horses and nosey neighbours.

Thanks fellas we live on a farm in southern ontario and the coyotes eat more lamb than i can send to market. I was going to get a 22-250 but this 222 came along so bought it , haven't shot it yet .
Thanks again

They are very accurate as well!
I have shot many varmints with the 222 rem and the ones i hit dispatched quickly. They do get a little squirly out past 400 yars, and the wind effects the slower bullet a bit more but I love the 222 rem

I found the 223 to work well, with 55 grainers, I'm sure the 222 with 50s at the same speed isnt far behind in performance. Maybe this winter I'll see how my 221 Fireball does with a 40 grainer @ 3300 fps

My buddy shoots a .222 and kills 40-50 coyotes per year with it. I just bought a Sako in .222 becuse that's what he uses. I've used rifles varying from .22 Hornet to .35 Whelen for coyote, and the .222 seems about the best balanced of them all. ( nothing wrong with the .223 or 22-250 either)
