Skip the budget level rifles and go with what works...Stag, Bush, LMT etc...
And I won't opt to support Norinco cause I'd rather support North America...
The handguard on the R-15(made by bushmaster) is a solid piece of Aluminum. The barrel free floats in it of course. Not sure how it could feel like plastic.I'm jealous...
Anyways, I played with a Remington, To be blunt, I ran the charging handle a few times and I thought it was very coarse. MY Stags Action feels 10x more smooth...I didn't like the handguard either, it almost felt like brittle plastic IMO...

Yea I know it's aluminum, however, I just didn't like the feel...The handguard on the R-15(made by bushmaster) is a solid piece of Aluminum. The barrel free floats in it of course. Not sure how it could feel like plastic.
I also own a stag, but it gets much less range time as it is not as accurate, and it does not feel as good. This is just a comparison of one R-15 vs one stag though.
I'm really starting to warm up to the whole camo thing. I like the fact that the r15 is comprised of forged upper and lower, with free float barrel. I'm sitting on the fence though. I want a tac carbine but can't decide between R15 or 7615. I recently tried the 7615 and liked it. Hmmmm
