Remmington Smoot Pat.III

I recently purchased a Smoot Pat.III in .38 rimfire at a small show in Alberta. My problem is that I think it is missing a small spring that keeps the pin to move the cylinder in the ready position. What happens is that the cylinder does not rotate unless the gun is pointed down. The pin just flops around. Any ideas where I can get parts?? I also need a left side grip for it too... and ammo. I will try a HACS show somewhere if I can't find anything before then.

Sounds like a broken or missing hand spring. Probably easiest to make one.

Yep i agree hand spring is busted maby loose in there.

most of theses old Antique RF Revolvers ya cant buy parts you have to make them or take them to someone who can make them.
38 RF ammo is like Chickens teeth.

You can buy Brass cases that you put a 22 blank in off set and use BP and a 38 cal Round ball from Dixie gun works for about $5 each.

I like that, funny stuff. Chickens' teeth huh? I guess you are saying its hard to find. I figured that I would be making one. My friend and I had already sort of planned what we need to do. Thanks for the help.
