Due to several collapsed graves and more than one sighting Im looking at an autoloader scattergun

The 11-87 Police has a fair price....handles 3inchers and is...well....a Remington

Anyone have experience with one of these items?....comments concerns?

Like it

But for some reason, the 870 gets way more use

My 11-87's failed to feed on more than one occasion

what kinda shells were you firing?

Autoloaders seem to get more reliable when using 'hot' magnum loads....go to skeet loads and they dont cycle reliably

You got it...

Never had an issue with 3" slugs or buckshot, but with 2 3/4 birdshot it would jam up almost once per tube

IIRC the Remington 11-87 Police has an 18" barrel and is therefore restricted.

The Benelli M2 Tactical or the M4 would be my choice. Not restricted and better shotguns IMO.

Gents:

Im having a brain fart.

Please help me out here, an refresh my memory as to why, if it has a factory 14" barrel, is over 26" long why its resticted.

Inquireing minds want to know.

Because it's a semi-auto. If it were a pump and the barrel came that way from the factory it would be non-restricted.

New Remington barrels are now 18.5". It will still say 18" on the box for some reason. You can get it verified and re-classified as non-restricted if it was registered as such. Someone on here did it awhile back.
