Never had an issue with 3" slugs or buckshot, but with 2 3/4 birdshot it would jam up almost once per tube
Good advice. They are very hard on the O-rings.11-87:
- Reliable, but the 0-Ring washer worries me (keep several on hand)![]()
Most of the guns I have seen in service were with tactical units or hold-up squads, Peel tactical used to use the Franchi Law 12 shotguns as an example.
Is the SPAS-12 still prohibited? I would love to get one if they weren't
Like it
But for some reason, the 870 gets way more use

Ellwood Epps had a 11-87 a few weeks back. They allso have most 870,s in stock. Note the 11-87 is restricted, the kool one,s are.
Here is my non-restricted 11-87 Police. Speed feed stock and tac light holder. Awesome gun! Absolutely love it. Totally has no purpose but would never sell it.

New Remington barrels are 18.5" long but for some reason they still call them 18". This has led to them being registered as restricted when they should not be. A guy on here had his 1100 tactical re-verified as 18.5" and the CFC changed its status to non-restricted.Ellwood Epps had a 11-87 a few weeks back. They allso have most 870,s in stock. At Epps, they said the one they had couldn't be modified to hold only 5 rounds, so it remained restricted (otherwise barrel length was fine)
That is BS, simply remove the mag extension or press in an aluminum plug to limit it to 5, believe that's how Tacord does it.
