Can the rifle be dissambled and be fitted into a new stock? If so any stock suggestions? I m not dead set on tacticool, I just find the VTR model very heavy, just want to see if I have options. Thanx all.

i made a similar thread a while ago. most short-action 700 stocks will fit... I'm looking at getting an MDT Tac-21 when the gun account has sufficient funds. It appears to be very lightweight, though a tad expensive

VTR is the 597 tacticool right? Are you saying that a Rem 597 semi auto will fit into a Rem 700 stock. This is something my Visa card did not need to hear. Shhhh baby, go back inside your wallet, there there.
