These things usualy go for 299$ (remote trigger). Expensive but very handy for training

Here , according to the plans, one should be able to make one for 60$ us. plans seem simple and easy (?) to make.

I already own a manual release type launcher and will try and fit the home-made remote trigger on it :)

So, all you gun dog trainers-owners , let me know if you build one :D

Cheers

project update

the parts ordered are coming in slowly and I started to fit my e-z bird launcher with the solenoid. It takes some cutting, bending and very minor dremmel grinding.

I was worried that the solenoid (the thing that would do the pulling) wouldn't be strong enough. It is! I applied the 12 volt current and "twang" it went!

Now I just need to get the RC parts (haven't come in yet) hooked up and training field here we come.

It Works!!!!!

Finished it!
I had to adapt a little but I managed.
Only had to solder wires 3 times.

I tested the range in the street in front of the house. 100 paces and it sprang instantly!

:) :)

So if any of guys out there who were wondering if it could be done, it can (and I'm electronics illiterate!!!!!!)

Cheers!
