Removal of account

I won't profess to know the inner workings of every club and business, but at the place I worked, we had over 5 million clients, and when a client no longer wanted an account with us, we did not simply remove the account.

The account status was listed as cancelled, but all the details and history were still view able and I know some of our competitors list these types of accounts as dormant or inactive, but they could always be reactivated for a fee.

I dunno, maybe it's different at the Jelly of the Month club, or perhaps the local pub when you no longer want to run a tab.

Anyway, glad to see the OP is still actively posting in CGN :)

Sorry to see that you want to leave. All you need to do is send an email to - CGN Admin - with your request. In all probability though your account will only be closed but NOT deleted.
 
This is probably a good thing.. the EE is a pain to join. So you can jump on every year or 2 and flip some gear. Then quietly vanish.
you have a decent trader rating. Dont let it go to waste.
 
I will add... OP just food for thought...
I grew up shooting target and hunting bolt actions. I didnt know much about what I was shooting.. just that it was fun.
And now i own an AR and a bunch of other sporting firearms. Would never have happened without the chaps on this forum. I drank the kool aid. Im glad I did.
Just take a break bro. Dont stress about an online forum.
 
Like everything on the internet, take this site with a grain of salt. Everyone has their own opinions and are free to express them on a open forum. Step over the boundaries and wind up in pink.
We have people that think Lee Enfields are good for nothing more than tomato stakes, Holland & Holland is the only rifle worth owning, Lee is crap and everyone needs to drink the Blue Kool-Aid blah blah blah.
Don't let it get under your skin, I sure don't. Take the good info and let the other crap slide.

Hey you guys never mention a third option..... he could get himself banned like that cuzzard fella.... man he was hell bent on getting banned. Pretty in pink is what we call it. Just start insulting people and make up bogus EE adds. Then send false reports to the mods and constantly bother them bingo! Your in pink can't log in again and no one will miss you some will wonder why it's in pink, but will never ask.
 
Just grow a thicker skin and stay. If someone disagrees with you there are alternatives to removal of your account.

I wondered when they would give cuzzard the boot, don't miss him much, lol.

Wrong. Your account will likely remain to maintain referential integrity. Because of the nature of forums, while your account can likely be disabled and your pii deleted or obfuscated, the account will likely remain. That's the way it works.

In real life when you quit a club or cancel accounts at other businesses, they still retain records of you in order to maintain auditability and integrity.

Just sayin'.
