Removal of Ambi-safety

I have been looking for a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec in SS for quite a while but nobody in the country has one in stock right now.

I have located a Loaded model in SS that I am 99% sure I will buy but I dislike the ambi-safety.

Is is a big deal to have it removed? Is it something I could do myself?

It's not a problem at all. The new safety has to be fitted, but it's not hard.
