removal of ambi thumb safety on nork 1911 sport

Was going to take my new Nork apart for a through degrease and smoothing job but got stopped by the thumb safety.My other 1911's come apart readily enough but this one doesn't seem to want to co-operate.Is there some thing different with these sport models or am I just not being forceful enough??? dont have mine in front of me, but if i remember take the right side safety (when holding the gun muzzle away) and wiggle it A LOT up down repeatedly. with used and wear it will get easier. i just sanded the round pin to make it easier for future removal.

Turn the right side backwards then wiggle it out. The pin is grooved and the right side safety slides over the pin.
