Remove Finish on Remington R-15

The top layer of dip finish is easy to remove BUT the primer below it is thick and resistant to harsher chemicals. I have done plenty of those rifles in the past and we just blast them right to the bone and re-anodize or arma-coat whichever the customer wants. As well the anodizing below the camo-dip is not colored in anyway. It is left a golden color (natural anodize -No dye)

That was what I thought. When you look inside the hand guard or into the mag well you see a white primer.
If I decide to refinish it, you have my business Murdoc. I already got a quote and it seems pretty reasonable.

Gentilemen:

If I may, the R-25 (and by extention the R-15) are some of the best values out there, and they actually shoot very well.

However, I to had issues with the color as well, but the upper and lowers were solid.

I stripped all the parts, and sent the upper and lower to Arma-Coat for repigmentaion

This was how it started out:

Then add some parts and the re-pigmented upper and lower receiver and this is what you get:

At the end of the day, with the quality of the work done, I belive it is money well spent to have Arma-Coat do the work

Food for thought no??
