I would also suggest that you put out a rant video on youtube. One thing I like about youtube is that it provides the little guy with a voice to thousands of people.

When enough people know about a problem and start grilling the sales staff at the shot show and everywhere else, they eventually start paying attention.

My thoughts as well. Beretta may have an entirely different view than Stoeger. After having an ongoing issue with getting a correct part from Stoeger, I've simply given up dealing with them so I understand your frustration.
 
If I could up load pictures I’d use the pic of the cross eyed guy in The Water boy with the tag line…. It’s fine….

Lol QC is a joke with most firearm company’s now, how can we make it faster and cheaper are the only questions asked.

That letter Stoeger sent you is absolutely shameful

I sincerely hope this issue get gets resolved thru Beretta
 
That's pretty bad service.

Is there an aftermarket solution to at least get the gun fixed? Can that be remedied by a competent smith?

Fix it and send the bill to Beretta in a registered letter accompanied by all the details?
 
Sorry to hear — but unless I’m missing something, this is a very simple fix.

The front sight is on a single post that passes through the ears (wings/ blades) and attaches with a nut on the bottom.
Everything is clamped into place by this nut — there are no alignment pins or detents — so it can rotate if knocked hard, or if the nut isn’t tight, or if the factory didn’t align it during assembly.

Undo the nut (you may or may not need heat) adjust the position of ears and sight until they are straight, apply threadlocker, then tighten the nut. That’s it.

I’m surprised Stoeger didn’t do this for you as a courtesy.

Its not the post itself that is not aligned, it is the post/sight ears where it is mounted to the barrel. The hole is drilled off centre.
Look at you post/sight ear assembly in the picture, it does not sit centre to the barrel and barrel sight mount.
It is off centre as well, so thank you for confirming another gun that has the sight installed off centre.
