Thanks for this quick review - I have been thinking of getting one of these as the price is right and it is a little more compact than my G17. Have you tried holstering it yet? I read that a G17 holster fits it reasonably well. Was this an Epps purchase?

I purchased mine from the Gun Dealer in New Brunswick. It did not come with any extra backstraps. The FMK fits a glock holster. The finish is not a tough glock tenifer, more like a black parkerizing.

Thanks for the info. So would you say it's a good "bang" for your buck? Are spare mags available?

I had several light hammer strikes with some reloaded ammo using CCI Primers.

Would a heavier spring on the striker fix this? This pistol has restrike capability, too, no?

JBD, Spare mags are available for the FMK and are in country. See your dealer and he can get you as many as you need.

We did notice a couple of guns didn't like old hard primer DA ammo here and some reloads that were cooked up with small rifle primers but normal pistol ammo worked fine - CCI Blazer, Winchester white box, Federal American Eagle are what we typically use in testing 9mm handguns.

As for restrike, the original FMK with double action and mag out "safety" was a true DA in that it reset as soon as you released the trigger. The new "Fast Action" trigger being supplied to Canada is like the Glock 1 1/2 action not true DA so it does not restrict, you have to cycle the gun.

Thanks for your interest and feel free to forward any specific inquiries to me here or direct. Guns were in stock at The Gun Dealer, Epps, The Gun Centre, and GMK Armoury last week. (Unless they are sold out, we have more on order to fill dealer back orders.)

Phil
