Yup, just a little pewter pin when you start but don't let that get you down. When you get classed as GM they send you a case of suppositories that make your bowel movements smell like cupcakes fresh from the oven.

Also, if you show your BB pin at Timmy's and give them a toonie you can get a extra large coffee.

:eek: wait a minute??????? Those targets are evil and thus banned from use, why are we still using them for our BB pin? :runaway: :runaway:
 
Go to the range with someone who shoots IPSC and do some basic techniques and you should be fine.

If you can hit a paper at 15m in Alpha zone then you more then qualify for this sport. From what I can see, you have already experience and that will help you bit. Don't worry about the time, just shoot accurate and you will pass BB course.

I'm sure that if you need one for your sense of well being, we can work up your own very special certificate. I'm sure I have a participant ribbon laying around somewhere from my kids last track meet.
 
You only need to worry about the 50% A's requirement if you throw a D on the particular exercise.(eg 12 shot exercise with 1 to 6 D's on paper the other six have to be A's.)
Otherwise it is all C's or better within the time limits and the C is about 12X18 aprox.
 
And once you have a Black Badge, is it good for life? Is there a yearly membership fee? Periodic re-qualifications? Minimum yearly match participation requirement?

as long as you pay your IPSC membership its good, you don't have to shoot any matches at all. If you stop being a member for a few years then you have to redo the course.
