removing EXTRA shells from outside of SG

That's a well considered setup you have there.

For me its about balancing capacity with ease of access and security.

My Olongapo bag can hold a lot of rounds (3 25 round subdivided sections plus an interior pouch that could hold another 50 loose rounds) but its not all that fast or secure when running around

My belt loops are very fast and secure but of course only give you 6 rounds.

I want a chest rig that offers a balance, and that doesn't take too long to replenish afterwards, the Beez looks like it for me.

+1 on the Olongapo Outfitters shotgun grab-n-go. I have one of the GnG's for every platform. Excellent gear.

They are a hidden gem - I have one loaded with 12 and one with 20 as well as an AR version and find very little to not like about them. I've been trying to get Jerry to make an AR version with only two mag pouches and a large utility/blowout kit pouch to no avail (yet). I like to think that my harassment is why Brownell's started carrying his stuff...

blake

I have a modified O.S.O.E. Shotgun Micro-rig that holds 73 shotshells in a nice compact, but accessible, chest rig.

I'd love to get one, mind telling me where you got yours?

I bought one in OD from DS Tactical, then a Multicam for a friend as an Xmas present after he saw mine. DS does not stock them but seems to be an O.S.O.E. Dealer so perhaps you could special order.

I bought a third one in Coyote Brown from Brownell's (another Xmas present) but they are presently out of stock.

they are all beautifully made from the best materials. I did find the Multicam material a little lighter. I prefer the heavy material in OD or CB.

Thanks, I will start the search with them.

The OSOE shotgun micro rig is a real nice piece of kit. Lots of shotgunners on here using it. Bomb-proof construction.

The Beez rig looks nice but the problem I see with it might be an issue wearing it with a backpack. The guy in the video is wearing it quite low but also doesn't look like can get high enough to clear a backpack waist belt.

MAV is great for this reason, it can easily clear your waist. Mine's a two piece though, often wish I'd bought the one piece instead.

I'm not big on backpack waist belts, so that wouldn't be an issue for me, I don't like carrying too much bulk on the upper part of my chest either so its sitting low is a plus IMO.

I really like a properly designed leather belt loop accessory for pure speed, although I'd never buy a dedicated loop belt because you run out of really accessible real estate in a hurry.

That is very nice! Looks like it would work very well.

I received my vest and pouches from Beetle Outdoor Supply a few days ago. Condor Compact Plate Carrier and a variety of Condor and Maxpediation pouches, etc. I spent some time organizing everything and managed to fit everything on. I also molle'd my shotgun scabbard to the back to hold my new Corwin Arms 14inch SG. All in all, it's light and I can move around fairly easily. I forgot to take a pic of the shotgun cards under the flap of the big pouch in the center (the point of this thread). Between the 2 velcro shotgun cards and the space in the big pouch I could probably hold 2-3 boxes of SG and still be comfortable. As far as shooting, I havn't had any issues yet. I can put the butt of the SG up against the vest or just scoot the vest to the side a little and put it against my shoulder.

I don't know if I'll keep everything molle'd to the vest all the time. I guess time will tell.

ps. Yes I've watched some Nutnfancy videos on youtube.

Angry Metal Face!

Looks like I found a Micro rig, could you post a pic of yours? I'd like to see how I can maximize it's holding capacity.

Looks great man!

Ya I played malibu stacey tactical shotgun too. Now my shotguns are compact and trim. No shellholders. I don't like the added weight and off balance feel plus they dig into my side when slung. That becomes a big deal on long hikes. I'm thinking about putting together a compact chest rig with a couple shellholders, maybe a knife and other hiking gear and a small pouch for my Otis cleaning kit. Small, light, simple.

I'd love an SOE micro SG rig but they seem hard to find online, everywhere seems to be sold out. Has anyone seen their "cop rig"? Looks like the micro rig with a third shell holder.

I was planning on ordering a 12 gauge Micro rig directly from O.S.O.E. on Black Friday but someone answered my WTB ad and now an OD 12 gauge Micro rig with an H harness in on it's way :D.

DS told me they wouldn't be carrying OSOE anymore.
