So I am trying to remove a front sight screw on a Ruger 22/45 and this thing appears to have been loctited on. It is not budging and I am starting to mar the screw head so have backed off. I have seen people recommending using a soldering iron to heat the screw and loosen the Loctite, but given the screw is surrounded by the front sight material, does anyone see an issue with this? If I ruin the front site, no biggy as I am replacing with a Truglo FO sight, just don't want to further seize the screw within the front sight. Any suggestions?

Hold the barrel in a padded vice... use a screwdriver that fits perfectly... while exerting some pressure down and twisting, tap down on the driver with a small hammer.. that shock will sometimes pop a tight screw loose.
