Removing lead from BPCR

Kleen Bore lead away cloths. Have not found anything easier or faster. Problem is the cloths dry out much faster then I was using them.

JB bore paste is also good.

Something like Microlon Gun Juice might work well in this application. Forms a TFE barrier on the steel. Might make the lead less likely to stick?????

haven't shot much cast in years so there might be some new widget to solve the issue.

I am sure you know all about lube, alloy, sizing that should stop leading in the first place.

Jerry:
This is a 120+ year old BPCR that has been badly leaded up, to the point where when i recieved it hardly any of the grooves could be seen. After more than six hours of cleaning I still have lead coming out. Most of it now is in the first 12 inches of the barrel.
Thanks to all who have given information thus far.

Had a similar experience with an old '92.
Don't know why I tried it, but "Fluid Film" and a bronze brush seemed to really loosen the lead up, was coming out in little chunks....maybe just me, but worked better than anything else I tried.

Good Luck.
