Removing moly from bullets?

I recently won a case of moly coated SMKs at auction. Other than using a tumbler, how are you guys cleaning it off? I currently have about 30 projectiles soaking in 100% acetone as recommended by some guys online but the bullets are still black. After the cleaning process, should the bullets return back to copper?
 
I just took some hour long soaked projectiles out and compared them with several untouched ones. I cannot tell the difference with my naked eyes.
 
I have never dealt with moly coated bullets but i wonder if after soaking them in acetone or paint thinner you shake them around in an old towel, then toss them in a tumbler.
 
I have used Kroil and jb bore paste to remove Molly from barrels. A lot of work to remove that crap. Let's us know what works for you.
Tumbling with stainless steel media might work, if you have one.
 
Got a deal on a whack of moly coated scenars...Put 100 in the vibratory cleaner with corn meal and flitz...It removed the moly but I found the corn meal was fine enough to enter and fill the hollow point...Hours of picking with a needle and tapping on a hard surface I got the corn meal out...Next batch I used a more coarse medium with flitz.

After tumbling, is the projectile back to copper?
 
Vibrating tumbler is what I've used before and yes, the bullets were back to copper after, not black.
 
For the guys following this, acetone DOES NOT work. I took a bullet a carefully polished it back to copper using steel wool. I'm going to bring a few into work tomorrow and see if I can find some stronger solvents to speed up the process. I think my boss will like the challenge
 
Why not just shoot them? I have shot moly coated bullets for years without a problem in match barrels. Clean the barrel with Kroil then your regular cleaning routine. If you have a problem getting all the moly out, use some JB Paste on the bore. One advantage of using moly is that once to start shooting them, you can shoot the whole case of them before cleaning the bore.

Sikwhiskey suggested Kroil and JB bore paste which I think is the right way to go to thoroughly clean the bore. Kroil gets under the moly & makes it easier to remove.
