Removing powder residue from brass.

I do the same as heavyBullet and Winchester 1886. I use the Lee shell holder in my battery drill, trim length with the Lee tool, chamfer in and out, then spin in some extra fine steel wool along the whole length. I haven't used my tumbler yet this year, as the above works so smoothly for me.

Happy shooting,

Yup, what he does! As volume goes up, tho, this method starts to get a bit old. Fine for larger calibers since I only shoot a dozen or so at a time but I couldn't imagine doing 75 cases twice a week for a 223. But then again, who said you have to clean cases after every shooting?

I ultrasonic clean. Solution is dead simple. Hot water and a half teaspoon of electric dishwasher detergent. It cleans primer pockets and the inside of the case. Not the high-gloss finish that you get with vibrating or tumbling, but way cleaner where it needs to be!

Done in 5 minutes.
