When I removed the rear sight from my 455 fs, undid the screws, warmed it up with a heat gun and gave it a tap with a wooden dowel and hammer. Heat is the answer.
If it is glued, do you use acetone or other solvent to remove the glue? Any marking on the barrel when finished? In other words, does it look like sh#t with it removed?
It'll look fine. The sights interfered with my scope so removed them. There was hardly and glue left on the barrel so never bothered trying to remove it. Maybe heat it with a hot air gun and wipe off with WD40.
